We’re back from an amazing trip to Berlin. We had some really lovely but very hot and exhausting days. We rented bikes and drove everywhere in Berlin – definitely the best way to explore new places. Fortunately the weather was on our side. Friday it hit 35 degrees C, so it was nice with a little breeze on the ride. If you have not been to Berlin, I can definitely recommend it. It is a big city but with lots of cozy oasis tucked beautifully in between the big and bombastic buildings. Definitely a city I will visit again.
Now we are home, Sillas is back in the office and I …. yes I will be watching the Olympics and looking through cookbooks and interior magazines today. One of cookbooks is ‘Lækkemad – healthy and strong with 80/20’. A really good book with a lot of healthy recipes with fresh ingredients, quinoa, root vegetables and good dressings and marinades. I had forgotten that I had it, but can now see that I have to try some more recipes. So far I have made up my mind to make these recipes;
- Baked artichokes and garlic
- Salmon rolls
- Salad with broccoli, walnuts, avocado and salad
- Paprika Roasted almonds
- Butter Beans with tomatoes and basil
- Beet root and white cabbage-salad
